Camp Jabulani The Elephant Herd

The Herd

Meet the Camp Jabulani elephants. The herd has matured over time to become a very close knit family group. Each elephant has its own character and shares a unique bond with the rest of the group.

Six babies have joined the Camp Jabulani herd since 2006, and the intra-herd dynamics have changed significantly since. While wild elephants group themselves in matriarchal herds – with male bull elephants joining the herds from time to time and having little to do with the younger members – each and every member of Camp Jabulani’s herd, both male and female, is an integral part of the very cohesive family.

Meet the Camp Jabulani family.
